Well, I thought I was done blogging for tonight. Then I clicked over to CNN.com to see yet another WWF match over Menorahs and Christmas trees.
I really just want to say...shut up! Who cares? If someone wishes you a Merry Christmas and you are Jewish, say Happy Hanukkah back. And vice versa. Big freaking deal. If one person/business has a Menorah up, and one person has a Christmas tree up, and is excluding the other, leave it be!
I worked for a Dr. who was Jewish, and the only thing that was different was, I got paid days off for holidays I didn't even celebrate. I looked forward to Yom Kippur and Rash Hashana. He was a good guy, and gave us Christmas type folks time off for Christmas too. No one said anything mean, he said Merry Christmas to us, we said Happy Hanukkah, and Yom and Rash to him.
So, why is it so hard? Just mind your own business and be nice! Or I'll cut you! Kidding.
Kind of.
Anyway, have fun with your tree, menorah, little budda, or hanky the christmas poo this year. And Merry Christmas!
